Facebook LIVE has become so mainstream, almost anyone can do it. However, if you want to stand out and be noticed, there are a couple of things that you need to be mindful of. Yes, you can be candid and make mistakes but if you are a brand, business, or personality that wants to market something, looking as professional while remaining witty is very important.
This week, one of our BeLive hosts, Owen Video just finished a show that involved video marketing tips for businesses that actually works! Owen invited over Jeremy Vest who is the CEO of Video Marketing World to help give out tips that really work for video marketing. If you follow these tips, it will help you make your live streaming become more successful.
ANSWER QUESTIONS
If you are live streaming, always remember to answer your customer’s questions. You may have a lot of content you want to share but if you want your customers and target audience to take notice, answer the questions they have and tell them how your product and service can fix it. Be subtle yet informative. If you are able to answer their questions, people will take notice and share the information that you gave them.
BE HUMAN
A lot of brands wonder why they certain YouTubers can get millions of view with their unedited, unpolished, obviously amateur videos while the ones that they spent millions on only get a hundred thousand or so number of views. You see, no matter how good your video is, if it fails to resonate with your audience, it will not have an impact.
It is important to be human. Your videos need to be relatable to the audience. Create content that your audience can relate to and bond over. Allow your audience to get to know you because if they don’t know you, they won’t be able to relate to you and if they can’t relate to you, they will not want to get to know more about you, your products, and your services.
DON’T SUCK!
Don’t be random unless being truly random is the image you’re business is aiming for. People like knowing what to expect and most people like having a schedule that they can follow. If you say that you will live stream on a certain schedule, make sure that you stick to it. If you discuss only happy things, do not suddenly post a video where it’s all gloom and doom. People will not understand and they will become confused.
KNOW YOUR MESSAGE
Overtime, your audience will change. You may start out with a certain demographics but with the changing times, your audience can change so observing how they react and to what part of your vide react matters. This is how you will know your message and which one of your message works.
Knowing your message will help you reach a wider audience and share to the world the information that you have. When you are able to do this, you will be able to retain your customer base and build a stronger community.
MAKE IT EASY TO MAKE CONTENT
A lot of times, people fail to create content because they need to do a lot of things and by the time they are ready to sit and face the camera, they are already exhausted. Have a go to bag that houses all your equipments and materials. Setting up your space to create content shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes. Remember that people are watching you live stream to learn, ask questions, and get answers. They are not watching you to see if you have an aesthetically pleasing background or decoration.

Content creators create content. This is what matters at the end of the day. Follow your show’s formula and these 5 easy steps. Watch the full video below if you would like to get more tips from our very own Live Video Growth Coach, Owen Video.
